Last week, I was in San Diego for a trade show. It was my first visit to that part of California. No doubt, it is a great city, with lots of open spaces. The first night my husband and I stayed at the Hilton on Harbor Island. It was a beautiful location, with great sunsets across the harbor. Plus, we were struck by the enormous numbers of people jogging along the harborway. Trust me, this isn’t something you see here in Orlando. They really seemed to take physical fitness seriously in California, or at least, in San Diego.

The following three nights we stayed at the Homewood Suites Liberty Station. Again, there was a public access area along the hotel grounds, with joggers passing along a waterway. It seemed there wasn’t a single place in San Diego, where we didn’t see young people jogging.

At first we wondered if it was because of all the military bases in the area. We assumed being fit was a prerequisite of their occupation. But it didn’t matter where we were; downtown, along the Convention Center in a mall parking lot, people everywhere were jogging. And not just in parks, but along the streets. At the convention center there were groups of people racing up and down a very tall and very steep staircase that rested between two buildings. So, it was really disturbing to have been there last week, when 17 year old Chelsea King disappeared.

Sadly, as we all know by now, her life ended badly. She was assaulted, raped, murdered and then buried in a shallow grave at the same park where she had been jogging. How strange to have an abundance of wonderful parks available to the citizens of San Diego, while at the same time, knowing those open spaces are hunting grounds for sexual predators.

Mind you, this isn’t the first time a woman or young girl has been abducted while jogging in a park. Who can forget a very controversial disappearance in 2001 of Chandra Levy. At the time it was believed she was killed by U.S. Representative Gary Condit of California. In the end, it turned out to have just been another opportunistic killing by a sexual predator as she went for a jog in the park.

This afternoon while my husband and I were driving home from work, he suggested women should start carrying mace with them when they go jogging. On the news they suggested women run with a dog, or a companion. I have a much better solution.

Women should strap a gun into a shoulder or hip harness on top of their jogging outfits. Trust me; no sexual predator would ever assault a woman jogging with an exposed firearm. End of story!

We all want to help the homeless. But, at what cost and who pays for it? Better to help them, help themselves. Everyone has a right to life, but no one has a right to take from another so that they can live.

I recently asked my friend’s little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be president some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, as I asked her, “If you were president what would be the first thing you would do?”

She replied, “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.”

Her parents beamed.

“Wow… what a worthy goal.” I told her, “But you don’t have to wait until you’re president to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, rake my yard, and sweep my walks, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I can drive you over to the grocery store where homeless guys hang out, and you can give them the $50 you earned to use toward food and a new house.”

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?”

I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.”

Her parents still aren’t speaking to me.

Recently, I received a letter that I would like to share with my readers. The author of the letter will be kept confidential. My answer to his final question is: Yes, we will do all we can to bring an end to the situation in Taiwan. Thank you for your letter.

Dear President,

I hope this email finds you well, and I wish you success in your mission.

I herewith apply for assistance in a mission to help liberate a hardworking nation from ongoing threat.

The strategic help is required in the form of media and recruitment of local intelligence officers, both contra US policy, and contra Chinese policy, mainly targeting the UN. It is high time, that the UN is publicly displayed as incompetent in the Taiwan Conflict issue, and that Taiwan is also supported by independant political organizations. I observe that Taiwan is still under enormous pressure by the US and Chinese governments, the country not really being recognized as a republic.

Further, it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, that this INDEPENDANT country, cannot regain membership in the UN due to ongoing vetos from China who is a member of the Security Council. Upon inspection, we have to conclude, that the geographic location is more than the fire in the far east, with nations being weaponed to their teeth, and spending almost all of their Gross Domestic Income on weaponry, instead of working on medical standards, general hygene, education, infrastructure and child welfare. This money is therefore being wasted, and landing in the tills of mainly FOREIGN arms dealers for outdated or regulated defence systems, instead of supporting the people who are earning this money. To be honest, can this nation really protect itself with down-throttled weapons?

The whole fiasco is nothing more than money pushing and a lie, same game as always. The political situation is orchestrated by either arms manufacturers in cooperation with their governments who need to secure longterm sales, and governments who seek to profit on economic potential through military power in the region.

How’s about economic power through hard work for a fair alternative?

In other words, the US and China got to change their habits, they need international pressure.

I know this mission will cause you numerous problems.

Please let me know shortly, I wish you a great day!

In January, I read in The New York Sun an article by Benny Morris titled, “The Second Holocaust”, which revealed the very real threat by Iran to wipe Israel off the map by launching a full-scale nuclear attack against Israel. The intent to kill the 6 million Jews, as well as the collateral deaths to 3 million Palestinians because of overt anti-Semitism, horrified me. However, I believe the outcome of such a “final solution” may surprise Iran as well as the Muslim community who is rooting for such an event.

“The orders will go out, and the Shihab III and IV missiles will take off for Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Haifa, and Jerusalem, and probably some military sites, including Israel’s half-dozen air and alleged nuclear missile bases. Some of the Shihabs will be nuclear-tipped, perhaps even with multiple warheads. Others will be dupes, packed merely with biological or chemical agents, or old newspapers, to draw off or confuse Israel’s anti-missile batteries and Home Guard units.

With a country the size and shape of Israel, an elongated 8,000 square miles, probably four or five hits will suffice: no more Israel. A million or more Israelis, in the greater Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem areas, will die immediately. Millions will be seriously irradiated. Israel has about 7 million inhabitants. No Iranian will see or touch an Israeli. It will be quite impersonal.

Some of the dead will inevitably be Arab, for 1.3 million of Israel’s citizens are Arab and another 3.5 million Arabs live in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It is doubtful whether such a mass killing of fellow Muslims will trouble Mr. Ahmadinejad and the mullahs. The Iranians don’t especially like Arabs, especially Sunni Arabs, with whom they have intermittently warred for centuries. And they have an especial contempt for the Sunni Palestinians, who despite their initially outnumbering the Jews by more than 10 to 1, failed to prevent the Jews from establishing their state or taking over all of Palestine. Besides, the Iranian leadership sees the destruction of Israel as a supreme divine command, as a herald of the second coming, and the Muslims dispatched collaterally as so many martyrs in the noble cause. Anyway, the Palestinians, many of them dispersed around the globe, will survive as a people, as will the greater Arab nation. Surely, to be rid of the Jewish state, the Arabs should be willing to make some sacrifices. In the cosmic balance sheet, it will be worth the candle.

A question may nevertheless arise in the Iranian councils: What about Jerusalem? After all, the city is the third holiest after Mecca and Medina, containing the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Mosque of Omar. Ali Khamenei, the supreme spiritual leader, and Mr. Ahmadinejad most likely would reply that the city, like the land, by God’s grace, in 20 or 50 years’ time, will recover. And it will be restored to Islam and the Arabs.” Source: Benny Morris, “The Second Holocaust”

Sounds simple; four or five hits, end of problem. Hold on a second. Let us recall the shock and anger expressed by the global community after the terrorist strike on the United States of September 11, 2001. While there were millions of people who harbored anti-American sentiments before that event, after that day billions became outraged by the atrocious and cowardly exhibition of Islamic terrorism.

Did the terrorists cause the United States to crumble? Of course not. Did they succeed in diminishing the U.S. presence in the Middle East? Of course not. In fact, as we all know now, the U.S. is even more entrenched in the Middle East.

For a short time after 9/11, the world came together with one objective - to fight against Muslim terrorism at all costs. If Iran believes as Benny Morris stated, that the land will be “restored to Islam and the Arabs,” he would be sorely mistaken. The world will not just breathe a sigh of relief that the Israel/Palestinian conflict will be over. Nor will the world allow Israel to cease to exist after a show of extreme anti-Semitism. In fact, the exact opposite will happen.

To annihilate 6 million Jewish people would leave about 10 million more scattered around the world. Those 10 million, along with all of North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and parts of Africa, will quickly mobilize a nuclear site cleanup far different from the one that is currently underway in Chernobyl. In fact, I would not be surprised if the Israeli government has already developed a rapid cleanup strategy. Once the cleanup is completed, Jews and Christians around the world will move back into Israel and begin restoring cities and infrastructure to the State of Israel. Instead of a cessation of Israel, it will cause a global resolve to save and protect the new Israeli’s from any further harm.

Would the world also choose to strike back at Iran, give them a taste of their own medicine and set an example to anyone else who is thinking along the same lines? I do not know. What I do know is, a nuclear attack on Israel will not wipe it off the map, but will lock it in place.

I don’t know how it is possible, but it is already morning in Google-land. Sorry for taking so long to say this, but…

I want to express my deepest condolences to the parents of the two young women who were used like human robots to cause terror at the pet markets of Iraq this past Friday. I am so sorry for your loss and shame.

I don’t think there are enough words in any language to express the grief you must be feeling right now. I beg you to vent your rage at those who used your innocent daughters as pawns in a sick, sick game of ideological chess.

Please accept my sympathies. Going forward I ask: Lead your children, lead them right.

Thank you to John Galt for this most excellent compilation!

While Islamic society in some Middle Eastern countries seem to be heading backwards, I do believe (at least I hope so) that the situation can be turned around. However, it will be up to the Muslims themselves (not their Mullah’s) to decide how they want to govern their lives.

It will be up to Muslims to stand up against the use of the Qur’an as a vehicle for subjugation and suppression of individual rights.

If it is being distorted for political gains, then get that message out. If it is not distorted and in fact, quite literal, then decide if those laws, which were established for a period 1500 years ago, are relevant in this time.

It will be up to Muslims to intercede when a Mullah calls his followers to arms over silliness such as cartoons and teddy bears.

It is not up to America, Great Britain or any other country to do it for you.

Wars can rage on for thousands of years…as we can see. Ultimately, it will be up to Muslims to make the choice to live freely, with peace and the willingness for cooperation and a deep desire for hard work.

Life truly can be better.

The past will always be hungry for a foothold in the present. Don’t let it eat you alive as it tries to obliterate the future.

Mind you, this is true for anyone of any religion or society. Whether it is the anarchy of the Congo, or the bombed out villages of Afghanistan, individual people themselves have to refuse to participate in activities that are contrary to progress.

It is up to only you, if you have the courage.

This is nothing more than legal terrorism!

Special Report
Mark Steyn Is Not Alone
By Brooke M. Goldstein
Published 1/15/2008 1:08:45 AM

Award-winning author Mark Steyn has been summoned to appear before two Canadian Human Rights Commissions on vague allegations of “subject[ing] Canadian Muslims to hatred and contempt” and being “flagrantly Islamophobic” after Maclean’s magazine published an excerpt from his book, America Alone.

The public inquisition of Steyn has triggered outrage among Canadians and Americans who value free speech, but it should not come as a surprise. Steyn’s predicament is just the latest salvo in a campaign of legal actions designed to punish and silence the voices of anyone who speaks out against Islamism, Islamic terrorism, or its sources of financing.

The Canadian Islamic Congress (CIC), which initiated the complaint against Steyn, has previously tried unsuccessfully to sue publications it disagrees with, including Canada’s National Post. The not-for-profit organization’s president, Mohamed Elmasry, once labeled every adult Jew in Israel a legitimate target for terrorists and is in the habit of accusing his opponents of anti-Islamism — a charge that is now apparently an actionable claim in Canada. In 2006, after Elmasry publicly accused a spokesman for the Muslim Canadian Congress of being anti-Islamic, the spokesman reportedly resigned amidst fears for his personal safety.

The Islamist movement has two wings — one violent and one lawful — which operate apart but often reinforce each other. While the violent arm attempts to silence speech by burning cars when cartoons of Mohammed are published, the lawful arm is maneuvering within Western legal systems.

Islamists with financial means have launched a legal jihad, manipulating democratic court systems to suppress freedom of expression, abolish public discourse critical of Islam, and establish principles of Sharia law. The practice, called “lawfare,” is often predatory, filed without a serious expectation of winning and undertaken as a means to intimidate and bankrupt defendants.

Forum shopping, whereby plaintiffs bring actions in jurisdictions most likely to rule in their favor, has enabled a wave of “libel tourism” that has resulted in foreign judgments against European and now American authors mandating the destruction of American-authored literary material.

At the time of her death in 2006, noted Italian author Orianna Fallaci was being sued in France, Italy, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions, by groups dedicated to preventing the dissemination of her work. With its “human rights” commissions, Canada joins the list of countries, including France and the United Kingdom, whose laws are being used to attack the free speech rights and due process protections afforded American citizens.

A MAJOR PLAYER on this front is Khalid bin Mahfouz, a wealthy Egyptian who resides in Saudi Arabia. Mahfouz has sued or threatened to sue more than 30 publishers and authors in British courts, including several Americans, whose written works have linked him to terrorist entities. A notable libel tourist, Mahfouz has taken advantage of the UK’s plaintiff-friendly libel laws to restrict the dissemination of written material that draws attention to Saudi-funded terrorism.

Faced with the prospect of protracted and expensive litigation, and regardless of the merit of the works, most authors and publishers targeted have issued apologies and retractions, while some have paid fines and “contributions” to Mahfouz’s charities. When Mahfouz threatened Cambridge Press with a lawsuit for publishing Alms for Jihad by American authors Robert Collins and J. Millard Burr, the publisher immediately capitulated, offered a public apology to Mahfouz, pulped the unsold copies of the book, and took it out of print.

Shortly after the publication of Funding Evil in the United States, Mahfouz sued its author, anti-terrorism analyst and director of the American Center for Democracy, Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, for alleging financial ties between wealthy Saudis, including Mahfouz, and terrorist entities such as al Qaeda. The allegations against Ehrenfeld were heard by the UK court despite the fact that neither Mahfouz nor Ehrenfeld resides in England and merely because approximately 23 copies of Funding Evil were sold online to UK buyers via

Unwilling to travel to England or acknowledge the authority of English libel laws over herself and her work, Ehrenfeld lost on default and was ordered to pay heavy fines, apologize, and destroy her books — all of which she has refused to do. Instead, Ehrenfeld counter-sued Mahfouz in a New York State court seeking to have the foreign judgment declared unenforceable in the United States.

Ironically, Ehrenfeld lost her case against Mahfouz, because the New York court ruled it lacked jurisdiction over the Saudi resident who, the court said, did not have sufficient connections to the state. Shortly afterwards the Association of American Publishers released a statement that criticized the ruling as a blow to intellectual freedom and “a deep disappointment for publishers and other First Amendment advocates.”

The litany of American publishers, television stations, authors, journalists, experts, activists, political figures, and citizens targeted for censorship is long and merits brief mention. There is an obvious pattern to these suits that can only be ignored at great peril. And we must expect future litigation along these lines:

* Joe Kaufman, chairman of Americans Against Hate, was served with a temporary restraining order and sued for leading a peaceful and lawful ten person protest against the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) outside an event the group sponsored at a Six Flags theme park in Texas. According to ICNA’s website, the group is dedicated to “working for the establishment of Islam in all spheres of life,” and to “reforming society at large.” The complaint included seven Dallas-area plaintiffs who had never been previously mentioned by Kaufman, nor been present at the theme park. Litigation is ongoing.

* The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) sued Andrew Whitehead, an American activist, for $1.3 million for founding and maintaining the website, on which he lists CAIR as an Islamist organization with ties to terrorist groups. After CAIR refused Whitehead’s discovery requests, seemingly afraid of what internal documents the legal process it had initiated would reveal, the lawsuit was dismissed by the court with prejudice.

* CAIR also sued Cass Ballenger for $2 million after the then-U.S. Congressman said in a 2003 interview with the Charlotte Observer that the group was a “fundraising arm for Hezbollah” that he had reported as such to the FBI and CIA. Fortunately, the judge ruled that Ballenger’s statements were made in the scope of his public duties and were protected speech.

* A Muslim police officer is suing former CIA official and counterterrorism consultant Bruce Tefft and the New York Police Department for workplace harassment merely because Tefft sent emails with relevant news stories about Islamic terrorism to a voluntary list of recipients that included police officers.

THESE SUITS REPRESENT a direct and real threat to our constitutional rights and national security. Even if the lawsuits don’t succeed, the continued use of lawfare tactics by Islamist organizations has the potential to create a detrimental chilling effect on public discourse and information concerning the war on terror.

Already, publishers have canceled books on the subject of counterterrorism and no doubt other journalists and authors have self-censored due to the looming threat of suit. For its part, CAIR announced an ambitious fundraising goal of $1 million, partly to “defend against defamatory attacks on Muslims and Islam.” One of CAIR’s staffers, Rabiah Ahmed, bragged that lawsuits are increasingly an “instrument” for it to use.

U.S. courts have not yet grasped the importance of rebuffing international attempts to restrain the free speech rights of American citizens.

This is troubling. The United States was founded on the premise of freedom of worship, but also on the principle of the freedom to criticize religion. Islamists should not be allowed to stifle constitutionally protected speech, nor should they be allowed to subject innocent citizens who talk to other citizens about issues of national security to frivolous and costly lawsuits.

I would like to retract some of my last post. I admit, I jumped to an incorrect conclusion on the root causes of extremely high numbers of males to females in certain Muslim countries. I had forgotten about an immigrant population boom in places like the UAE over the past three years.

My incorrect assumption was brought to my attention by an anonymous blogger JDsg who wrote a scathing review of my post at, Dunner’s. If you have clicked on the link you will see he does not think too highly of me. Not a problem, but I do have a few comments to make about his post.

Mr. JDsg alluded that female infanticide is not a Muslim practice at all, but is exclusive to India and China. While those two nations compose the bulk of cases where female infants are murdered for nothing more than being unlucky enough to have been born a female, they are not the only places where this barbaric practice is occurring. I am mindful of the fact female infanticide is most common in overpopulated regions with high poverty. Such as China, North Korea, South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan), the Middle East (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey) and parts of Africa (Cameroon, Liberia, Madagascar, Senegal, Nigeria).

Note, I had already concluded based on the World Factbook data, female infanticide was a low probability for the disparity because at birth the ratio was nearly 1/1. The jump in the male population occurs after age 15. This led me to suspect two other possible causes. 1) Honor killings and 2) low counts.

Surprisingly I noticed Mr. JDsg did not refute or even mention anything about honor killings. Like female infanticide, honor killings are not exclusive to Islam, but are very much being carried out by Muslims all over the world, not just in the Middle East.

There is nothing in the Koran, the book of basic Islamic teachings, that permits or sanctions honor killings. However, the view of women as property with no rights of their own is deeply rooted in Islamic culture, Tahira Shahid Khan, a professor specializing in women’s issues at the Aga Khan University in Pakistan, wrote in Chained to Custom, a review of honor killings published in 1999.

“Women are considered the property of the males in their family irrespective of their class, ethnic, or religious group. The owner of the property has the right to decide its fate. The concept of ownership has turned women into a commodity which can be exchanged, bought and sold.”

Honor killings are perpetrated for a wide range of offenses. Marital infidelity, pre-marital sex, flirting, or even failing to serve a meal on time can all be perceived as impugning the family honor.

Amnesty International has reported on one case in which a husband murdered his wife based on a dream that she had betrayed him. In Turkey, a young woman’s throat was slit in the town square because a love ballad had been dedicated to her over the radio.

In a society where most marriages are arranged by fathers and money is often exchanged, a woman’s desire to choose her own husband—or to seek a divorce—can be viewed as a major act of defiance that damages the honor of the man who negotiated the deal.

Even victims of rape are vulnerable. In a widely reported case in March of 1999, a 16-year-old mentally retarded girl who was raped in the Northwest Frontier province of Pakistan was turned over to her tribe’s judicial council. Even though the crime was reported to the police and the perpetrator was arrested, the Pathan tribesmen decided that she had brought shame to her tribe and she was killed in front of a tribal gathering. Source

I will admit, I was wrong in my assumptions that the Muslim practice of honor killings and a disregard for women as people, accounted for the extraordinarily higher numbers of men to women in certain Muslim countries. What I did not take into account is the high percentage of immigrants who are predominantly men. For example in 2005, more than 72% of the UAE population was composed of immigrant males.

Population, initial results 2005

Total number of UAE population as counted in the census is 3,769,080*
Total number of males is 2,547,043, which is 67.6 % of the total population that were counted in the reference period.
Total number of females is 1,222,037, which is 32.4 % of the total population that were counted in the reference period.
Total number of nationals is 824,921, which is 21.9 % of the total population that were counted in the reference period, and it is 20.1% of the total UAE population.
Total number of national males is 418,057, which is 50.7 % of the total nationals.
Total number of national females is 406,864, which is 49.3 % of the total nationals.
Total number of non-nationals is 2,944,159, which is 78.1% of the total population that were counted in the reference period, and it is 79.9% (3,279,774)of the total UAE population.
Total number of non-national males is 2,128,986, which is 72.3%.
Total number of non-national females is 815,173, which is 27.7%. Source

I would like to apologize to my readership for giving you an incorrect analysis and I would like to thank Mr. JDsg for pointing out my erroneous information. While population data is a poor example for Islam’s War on Women, the war does continue.

If you don’t know me I should tell you, I fight for what is right. And this here is my fight.

About two months ago I watched the above video titled, “The Violent Oppression of Women in Islam.” It upset me so much that I became 100% determined to fight against Islam. The suffering women experience based on the sick teachings of Mohammed, a pedophiliac prophet of oppression needs to end.

To make this happen will not be easy. First, moderate Islam needs to stand up, speak FOR human rights and against Sharia. They need to speak out when members of their faith use Islam as a justification for violence and oppression. Second, women themselves must band together and fight for protection. Third, the rest of the world needs to educate themselves and acknowledge, Islam is NOT Peace.

I realize that other religions have treated women with the same disregard as Islam does today. But it is Islam that is spreading throughout the world and spreading their fascist ideology. Those of us, who are free to speak, must do so. We must speak loudly and repeatedly until all others are equally free to speak.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

She is a daughter
A sister
A wife
A mother

Her womb nurtured
Her breast fed
Her blood is in your blood

But to you
She is less than a man

So you cloak her
And you choke her
You cut her
And burn her
You hang her
And lash her

You regard her as property
Readily disposable
At three times the sound

Your world is sad
And bereft of love
Your world is dark
And filled with hate
Your world is death
Now give it life

See her, the woman
A piece of two halves
She is worthy of more
Than the vulgarity
Of your holy trash
